Claude Cowork Training in Ajman for owner-run businesses

Most Ajman businesses don’t have an IT department or a digital transformation team. They have an owner, a few capable staff and a lot of paperwork: quotations, price lists, stock sheets, supplier emails and month-end summaries. Claude Cowork can take over a surprising amount of that, and you don’t need an Enterprise contract to use it.

I train Ajman owners and small teams to set Cowork up safely by themselves, give it real work from the business, and check the results before anything goes to a customer or supplier.

Why it fits small firms

What Cowork changes for a small Ajman business

In a five- or ten-person company, the owner is often the one doing the reporting at night. Cowork is useful because it does the slow middle part of a task: opening the files, finding the figures and putting them in order.

You give Cowork a folder on your computer and tell it what you need, for example: “From these supplier quotes, make a comparison sheet and tell me which one is cheapest per unit after delivery.” It plans the steps, reads the files and saves a finished Excel sheet or Word document in the same folder. It runs in the Claude desktop app on Windows or Mac and is included in Claude’s paid plans.

The catch is that it acts on your files. Without a few simple rules, a small business can end up with overwritten spreadsheets or customer data in the wrong place. Getting those rules in place is a big part of my Ajman sessions.

Typical Ajman participants

  • Owners of trading, contracting and service companies
  • Ajman Free Zone businesses with a small back office
  • Small manufacturers and workshops
  • Property and real-estate agents
  • Restaurants, training institutes and agencies
  • The one person in the office everyone asks about computers
An Ajman example

Chasing open quotations at a six-person trading company

This exercise works for almost every trading or contracting business I meet, because it is money sitting on the table.

The problem

The company sends forty or fifty quotations a month as PDFs. Some turn into orders, many are simply never followed up. Nobody has time to go back through the sent quotes, and the sales report only shows what was won.

What we set up with Cowork

  1. A folder holds this month’s quotation PDFs and an export of confirmed orders from the accounting software.
  2. Cowork matches quotes against orders and lists every quote with no order after 14 days: customer, value, items and date.
  3. It ranks them by value and drafts a short, polite follow-up for each customer in a Word document. Nothing is sent automatically.
  4. The brief is saved as a Skill, so the same report takes one instruction next month.
  5. Optionally, a scheduled task builds the list every Monday morning, while the sending stays with the sales person.

The owner gets a clear list of the money still on the table. The decision about who to call, and what to offer, stays with the people who know the customers.

Small groups, real files. Each participant leaves with at least one task running in Cowork.
No IT department

A safe Cowork setup when there is no IT team

These are the rules I set up with every Ajman business. They take about an hour and prevent most of the problems small firms run into.

Folders
  • One working folder for Cowork, not the whole drive
  • Copies of files go in, originals stay elsewhere
  • A separate folder for each kind of task
Permissions
  • Cowork asks before acting while you learn
  • Deletion protection stays on
  • Connect only the tools the task needs
  • No bank logins, passwords or ID copies
Checking
  • Spot-check totals against the source files
  • Ask Cowork what it was unsure about
  • A person sends every customer message
  • Review scheduled tasks every week
Why the caution? Anthropic’s safety guidance warns about instructions hidden in documents or web pages (prompt injection), files deleted by accident, and tasks running on a schedule while nobody is watching. It advises against using Cowork with banking portals, credentials or sensitive personal data. These rules follow that guidance.
Ajman use cases

Jobs Ajman teams hand to Cowork

Small manufacturers and workshops
Before

Daily production logs are kept in separate sheets for each shift, and the weekly summary is put together on Saturday.

After

Cowork combines the shift sheets into a weekly summary of output, rejects and downtime, and points out days where the numbers don’t add up.

Restaurants and cafeterias
Before

When a supplier raises prices, nobody recalculates the cost of each dish.

After

Cowork updates the recipe costing sheet from the new price list and lists the items whose margin dropped below your target.

Property agents
Before

Every listing needs descriptions for several portals and a social post, written from the same data sheet.

After

Cowork drafts each version, in English and Arabic, from one data sheet and your photo notes. The agent checks the facts before anything is published.

Training institutes
Before

Course brochures, schedules and certificates are rebuilt by hand for every batch.

After

Cowork produces brochures and schedules from the syllabus file and a batch list, in your own template.

Accounts exports
Before

Reports from Tally, Zoho Books or another system are exported and reworked into the owner’s format every month.

After

Cowork turns the export into the owner’s monthly sheet. Cowork works from exported files only, never from logins to the accounting or banking system.

Supplier correspondence
Before

Delivery dates and promised prices are buried in email threads.

After

From saved emails, Cowork builds a tracker of what each supplier promised and when, so you can follow up with facts in hand.

The curriculum

What Ajman owners and teams learn

The one-to-one owner session covers modules 1 to 4. The half-day and full-day formats add modules 5 and 6, with each person working on a task from the business.

MODULE 01

Safe setup without an IT team

The desktop app, a dedicated working folder, copies instead of originals, approval settings and deletion protection.

MODULE 02

Your first useful brief

Turning “sort this out” into an instruction Cowork can act on: the result you want, the files to use and the format to save in.

MODULE 03

Everyday business files

Quotations, supplier price lists, stock sheets and accounting exports in Excel, CSV and PDF, combined into one usable sheet.

MODULE 04

Checking the numbers

Comparing totals against the source files, reading the exceptions list, and asking Cowork what it was unsure about.

MODULE 05

Drafts for customers and suppliers

Follow-ups, listings and letters in English and Arabic, and why a person always checks and sends them.

MODULE 06

Making it a weekly routine

Saving a task as a Skill, a Monday scheduled report, and knowing when to move from Pro to a Team plan.

How Cowork training works for Ajman businesses

ONE-TO-ONE, 2–3 HOURS

Owner setup session

Cowork set up on the owner’s laptop, safe folder rules, and two real tasks from the business running before we finish.

HALF DAY, SMALL GROUP

Team starter

The owner plus two to six staff, each bringing their own task. Ends with a short list of team rules.

FULL DAY

Working day

Adds Skills, plugins and scheduled tasks, and a first look at connectors such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 if you use them.

FOLLOW-UP

30-day review

A short online check on what stuck and what didn’t, with fixes to briefs and Skills that need adjusting.

Choosing a plan

For one or two people, Pro is usually enough to start. Cowork uses more of your allowance than ordinary chat, so a daily heavy user may need Max. Once four or five people use it, a Team plan gives you central billing and admin settings. You don’t need Enterprise to get value from the training. Check Anthropic’s pricing page for current prices.

Before we meet

  • Each person has a paid Claude seat
  • The Claude desktop app is installed
  • A few real files copied into a test folder
  • A list of the three jobs you most want off your desk
Your trainer

Working with Hitesh Motwani

I’m a corporate AI trainer and the author of Generative AI 360° (ZebraLearn, 2025). I train teams on Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini, and I have been visiting faculty at K J Somaiya. UAE work is contracted through Skillopedia FZC LLC.

I’ve worked with large companies, but I enjoy small businesses most, because the results show up so quickly. In a large company, saving an hour is a line in a report. For an Ajman owner, it’s an evening back. I won’t promise numbers I can’t verify. What I will do is make sure you leave with tasks already running on your own files.

Questions

Questions Ajman business owners ask about Cowork

I’m the only person in my business who would use Cowork. Is one-to-one training possible?

Yes, and for owners it is often the best format. In two or three hours, we set Cowork up on your laptop, agree safe folder rules and get two of your real tasks working.

Which plan do I need: Pro, Max or Team?

Cowork is in all of them. Pro is usually enough to start. Max suits someone who runs long Cowork tasks every day, and Team makes sense once several staff use it and you want central billing and admin settings.

We have no IT department. How do we keep Cowork safe?

Use a dedicated working folder, keep originals elsewhere, leave approvals and deletion protection on, connect only what each task needs, and never give it banking logins, passwords or ID copies. We set this up together during the session.

Can Cowork read exports from Tally or Zoho Books?

Yes. Cowork can work with exported Excel, CSV and PDF reports. Keep it to exported files rather than giving it access to the accounting system itself, and check its totals against the original report.

Will you come to our premises in Ajman?

Yes, on-site sessions in Ajman are available, including in the free zone and industrial areas. Live online sessions also work well for owners with busy schedules.

Can Cowork write in Arabic for our customers?

Claude can draft in Arabic, which helps with listings, letters and customer messages. A fluent speaker should always review Arabic text before it goes out, and a person should send it.
