How to choose an AI course in Chennai
- Build or use? Building AI needs Python, maths and machine learning. Using AI at work needs none of that.
- Live or recorded? Ask how many hours are live with the trainer, and how many are videos.
- What the fee includes: certification, projects, internship, exam fees and GST.
- Placement proof: ask for named, recent placements you can verify, not just a percentage.
- Real practice: will you work on real tasks or projects, or only follow demos?
- Timing: weekday, weekend or fast-track batches that fit your job or classes.
FAQ
AI courses in Chennai: common questions
Which is the best AI course in Chennai?
It depends on your goal. For an AI or machine learning job, compare institute courses such as FITA Academy, Skillfloor, ACTE, Softlogic Systems, Intellimindz and Besant Technologies. For a degree, look at IIT Madras’s online BS in Data Science and Applications. To use AI in the job you already have, a hands-on course on your own tasks, such as Hitesh Motwani’s, fits better.
What is the fee for an AI course in Chennai?
Listed fees in October 2026 range from about ₹14,900 (Skillfloor) and ₹16,500 (ACTE) to ₹25,000–₹35,000 (Softlogic Systems) and ₹28,000 including GST (Intellimindz). FITA Academy and Besant Technologies share fees on request. Corporate and 1-to-1 training is quoted per engagement.
How long does an AI course in Chennai take?
Most institute courses run about 1.5 to 3 months: around 60 days for FITA Academy’s Gen AI course, about 1.5 months at Softlogic Systems and an 80-hour syllabus at Besant Technologies. Hands-on AI training for working professionals can be a half-day, a full day or a few sessions.
Can I learn AI without coding?
Yes, if your goal is to use AI rather than build it. Courses on ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and AI agents for everyday work need no coding. Courses that lead to AI or ML jobs teach Python and machine learning, so expect to code.
Which AI course is best for working professionals in Chennai?
One that fits around work and uses your real tasks. Weekend batches at institutes suit career switchers. If you want to work faster in your current role, Hitesh Motwani’s hands-on training, 1-to-1 or for your team, covers generative AI tools and AI agents on your own work.
Do AI courses in Chennai offer placement?
Most institute courses advertise placement support or assistance. Treat it as help with interviews and job leads, not a guarantee, and ask for recent, verifiable placement records before you pay.
Are there AI courses for kids and teenagers in Chennai?
Yes. See the AI course for kids in Chennai (ages 9 to 11) and the AI course for teenagers in Chennai.
