Generative AI Trainer in the UK: hands-on AI training for teams and leaders

Hitesh Motwani

Anthropic Claude Certified Trainer · Author, Generative AI 360°

Most UK organisations already pay for an AI tool. The gap is habit: people try it once, get an average answer and go back to the old way. My workshops close that gap on your own documents, with your own approved tools, so the team leaves with work it can reuse on Monday.

I have trained more than 200,000 professionals across 16+ countries, including leadership sessions for Marks & Spencer, Tata Group and Flipkart, and I am guest faculty at the University of London and nine IIMs.

WHAT YOU LEARN

What your team learns in generative AI training

Nine modules, practised on participants’ own work. The full-day programme covers modules 1 to 6; leaders and technical teams take the tracks that fit.

Module 01: How generative AI works

What large language models do well, where they fail, and why answers sound confident even when they are wrong.

Module 02: Choosing the right tool

ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini compared on real tasks, so the team knows which licensed tool fits which job.

Module 03: Prompting with TAGS_C

Hitesh's framework: Topic, Audience, Goal, Style and Constraints. Constraints, the part most people forget, gets the most time.

Module 04: Documents, data and analysis

Summarising long reports, analysing spreadsheets and turning data into tables and charts that can be checked.

Module 05: Writing in your house voice

Proposals, emails and reports drafted from your best past examples, in British English and your brand tone.

Module 06: Safe use under UK GDPR

What can and cannot go into an AI tool, how to anonymise, and how to check output before it reaches a client.

Module 07: Assistants and projects

Turning tested prompts into Claude Projects, custom GPTs, Copilot agents or Gemini Gems with an owner.

Module 08: Agentic AI and automation

Where agents help, where a person must stay in the loop, and how to scope a first automation.

Module 09: Your 90-day adoption plan

Use cases ranked by value and risk, named champions and a simple way to measure time saved.

HANDS-ON, NOT A DEMO

What a hands-on generative AI workshop looks like

Participants bring their own tasks. We rebuild each one with AI, test it on real inputs and save what works, so nothing stays a demo.

THE UK CONTEXT

Why UK organisations are training staff on generative AI in 2026

The UK government’s AI skills partnership with industry, announced in June 2025 and expanded through the free AI Skills Boost platform in January 2026, now aims to give 10 million workers key AI skills by 2030. Free online courses build awareness; teams still need practice on their own tools and documents to change how work gets done.

Data rules shape every session. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, still decide what personal data may go into an AI tool, and the ICO publishes guidance on AI and automated decisions. Training builds those rules into daily habits and prompt templates.

UK firms with staff or customers in the EU also fall under the EU AI Act. Its Article 4 has required organisations deploying AI to ensure sufficient AI literacy among their staff since 2 February 2025. A documented, role-based training programme is the simplest way to show it.

FAQ

Generative AI training in the UK: questions

A generative AI trainer teaches staff to use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini on their real work: writing better prompts, checking output, protecting data and turning repeat tasks into reusable assistants.

Yes. Most UK programmes run live online on UK business hours (GMT or BST). On-site delivery in London and other UK cities can be arranged for larger groups and leadership sessions.

The tools you license: ChatGPT (including Enterprise and Team), Claude, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gemini. Technical teams can add Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, LangChain, LlamaIndex and MCP.

A half-day essentials session is about 3 hours, a full team workshop about 7 hours, and advanced or technical programmes run two to three days. Leaders usually take a 2 to 3 hour private briefing.

Yes. The core programmes are for business users in marketing, HR, finance, operations and sales. No coding is needed. Developers have separate technical labs.

Every session covers what personal and confidential data must not go into AI tools, how to anonymise inputs, and how to check output. We align examples with your own AI policy where you have one.

If your organisation deploys AI and operates in the EU, Article 4 of the EU AI Act asks you to ensure sufficient AI literacy among staff. Role-based training with attendance records and materials gives you evidence of that. It is not legal advice.

Yes. AI for Leaders and Boards is a private briefing where every leader leaves with a function-level AI roadmap, prioritised use cases and a 90-day plan.

Yes, a certificate of completion. More useful is the tested prompt and use-case library each team builds on its own work.
