THE LIST

The 10 best Generative AI trainers in London, in detail

London buyers care about UK GDPR, sector regulators such as the FCA, and whether training can be funded through levy routes, so those factors shaped my choices. I also wanted a range from university executive education to nimble workshop specialists and enterprise-scale providers like QA and Multiverse.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

How to choose a Generative AI trainer in London

CONTEXT

The UK AI skills drive and London's GenAI training options

At London Tech Week 2025 the UK government launched an industry partnership with firms including Microsoft, Google, IBM and Salesforce to give 7.5 million workers essential AI skills by 2030. In January 2026 the target was raised to 10 million workers, roughly a third of the workforce, and the free AI Skills Boost courses passed one million completions. Those free resources raise baseline awareness across the country, and London employers are building on them with tailored in-house training.

The capital's market is broad. London Business School and Imperial College London offer executive education for leaders, QA and Multiverse run structured and levy-funded programmes at scale, and specialists like General Purpose, Hartz AI and Decoded focus on hands-on team adoption. Regulated firms must align usage with UK GDPR and Information Commissioner's Office guidance, and financial services firms also consider FCA expectations, so governance is usually part of the training brief.

QUESTIONS

Generative AI training in London: FAQ

Some providers, such as Multiverse, deliver apprenticeship programmes that levy-paying employers can fund through their levy accounts. Short workshops generally fall outside levy funding. Funding rules in England have been changing as the levy is reformed, so check current eligibility with the provider and official government guidance before planning.

UK GDPR applies whenever personal data is processed, including when it is typed into an AI tool. The ICO has published guidance on AI and data protection that organisations can use when setting policies. Training should explain your approved tools, what data can be used and how to handle outputs. Your data protection officer should own the policy.

The free courses are a useful starting point and have passed one million completions. They build general awareness, but they do not use your organisation’s documents, tools or policies. Most London employers add tailored workshops so staff can apply GenAI to their real tasks safely and confidently.

Firms in the City often want governance alongside productivity, given FCA expectations and client confidentiality. Executive education from London Business School or Imperial suits leaders, while my workshops and providers like QA cover hands-on use for wider teams. Ask for financial services examples and a governance module.

Costs vary with headcount, number of sessions, in-person or online delivery, customisation and any funding route used. Executive education, levy-funded programmes and bespoke workshops are priced quite differently, so a headline figure tells you little. Send a consistent brief to each provider and request written proposals.
