The situation
A programme review is due. The department has a shared drive of syllabi, assessment samples, meeting minutes and survey summaries, gathered over several years by different people. The quality coordinator needs an evidence index that maps each standard to the documents that support it, and needs to know where the gaps are.
How Cowork handles it
- The coordinator copies the relevant folders into one Cowork workspace, leaving out anything with student personal data.
- The brief lists the standards and explains what counts as acceptable evidence for each.
- Cowork reads the documents and builds an index in Excel: standard, supporting document, page and a confidence note.
- It writes a gap list, for example “no assessment moderation evidence after 2024”.
- It drafts a short narrative for each standard, for faculty to rewrite in their own voice.
Faculty still judge whether the evidence holds up. Cowork saves them from opening two hundred files to find out what they have.
