What the admissions office does today
Staff open each applicant’s folder, tick documents off a checklist, copy marks into a spreadsheet and write to applicants whose files are incomplete. With a deadline approaching, mistakes creep in and the same applicant can be chased twice or not at all.
What the office does with Cowork
- A batch of applicant folders is copied into a working folder, with only the documents the institute’s rules allow.
- The brief lists the required documents per programme, the marks to extract and the format of the tracking sheet.
- Cowork goes through each folder and fills the tracker: documents present, documents missing, marks recorded, and anything it could not read.
- It drafts a short, polite email for each applicant with missing documents, for the office to review and send.
- The admissions officer checks a sample against the original files before the tracker feeds the merit list.
Cowork prepares; the institute decides. Nothing is published or sent without a person approving it.
