How the office does it now
The manager collects the issue and receipt entries for each worker, counts pieces by process and size, applies the agreed rate for each, subtracts advances and prepares the sheet for payment. Corrections come back from the floor every week, and each one means going back through the register.
How it works with Cowork
- The week’s issue and receipt registers, the rate card and the advances sheet are copied into a working folder, with workers identified by code rather than full personal details.
- The brief explains how pieces are counted, which rate applies to which process and size, and how advances are adjusted.
- Cowork builds the wage sheet with live formulas, plus a list of entries where issue and receipt don’t match or a rate is missing.
- It prepares a one-page summary of total pieces and wages by process for the owner.
- The manager checks the exception list and a sample of workers, then approves the sheet for payment.
Cowork prepares the numbers; the manager signs off and pays. It never touches the bank or the payroll system.
