Best AI Courses in Chandigarh and Mohali (2026-27): 9 Compared with Fees

Short answer: the best AI course in Chandigarh depends on how much time you can give it. If you can study full-time and qualify through C-CAT, C-DAC Mohali’s 1,200-hour PG Certificate Programme in AI is the deepest government-run option (₹1,50,000 plus GST, next batch 24 February 2027). If you must keep working, ISB’s AMPBA blends online classes with residencies that include the Mohali campus. For a quick classroom start, the institutes around Sector 34A teach generative and agentic AI in evening batches. For a team, live training on its own work moves fastest.

The list

The 9 best AI courses in Chandigarh and Mohali, reviewed

For every entry: what you will learn, who it suits, strengths, catches, and the fee, dates and certificate, with a link to the page we read. The three institutional programmes come first, then the Sector 34A and Mohali classrooms.

1

C-DAC Mohali: PG Certificate Programme in Artificial Intelligence (PGCP-AI)

GovernmentFull-time1,200 hours
Best for: engineering, MCA and science graduates who can commit to six months of full-time study and want the most technical AI course in the region

C-DAC’s Advanced Computing Training School in Mohali lists PGCP-AI, the programme formerly called PG-DAI, as its only course. Admission is through the C-DAC Common Admission Test (C-CAT), and the course can run fully online or fully in person; ask the Mohali centre which mode applies to your batch.

What you learn

  • Mathematics, statistics and advanced programming for AI
  • Data analytics and practical machine learning
  • Deep neural networks, language processing and computer vision
  • AI compute platforms and a 180-hour project

Pros

  • Government institute with a published fee and calendar
  • Very deep: 1,200 hours over 24 weeks

Watch out for

  • Full-time, roughly a working week of study, so it does not fit around a job
  • One page says NCVET approval is “under process” while another says it is approved; placement support is C-DAC’s own description

Venue: C-DAC Advanced Computing Training School, A-34 Industrial Area, Phase VIII, SAS Nagar, Mohali. Format: full-time, 24 weeks, 1,200 hours, 40 credits. Fee: ₹1,50,000 plus GST for physical mode, or ₹1,27,500 plus GST online. Dates: C-CAT applications 25 November to 29 December 2026; test on 9 and 10 January 2027; next batch from 24 February 2027. Eligibility: engineering degree, MCA, or relevant MSc or PG degree, with 60% marks.

2

ISB: Advanced Management Programme in Business Analytics (AMPBA)

ISB MohaliBlended15 months
Best for: professionals with two or more years of experience who want a heavyweight analytics-and-AI credential without resigning

ISB’s blended programme combines live online teaching with five-day campus residencies every second month. The residencies run across ISB’s Hyderabad and Mohali campuses, so Tricity participants spend some, but not all, campus weeks close to home. Coursework lasts 12 months, followed by a three-month capstone.

What you learn

  • SQL, linear algebra, probability and statistics in R
  • Supervised and unsupervised machine learning, optimisation and simulation
  • Deep learning and forecasting
  • Modules on MLOps and agentic AI, ending in an industry capstone

Pros

  • The biggest management brand with a Tricity campus
  • Fee covers stay and meals during residencies

Watch out for

  • Analytics comes first; AI is layered on top
  • Not every residency is in Mohali, and travel is not covered

Format: blended, 15 months, five five-day residencies, about 12-14 hours a week of study. Fee: admission ₹1,08,500 plus GST and tuition ₹9,91,500 plus GST, plus a refundable ₹5,000 deposit; application fee ₹2,000; the fee includes stay and meals during residencies, not travel. Dates: applications close 13 December 2026; foundation term starts 30 January 2027. Eligibility: relevant degree with exposure to maths and at least two years’ full-time work. Certificate: AMPBA certificate with transcript.

3

Plaksha University: Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence

Mohali campusFull-time12 months
Best for: engineers and quantitative graduates who want a one-year, AI-only master’s with serious coding

A twelve-month, six-term master’s taught on Plaksha’s campus in Mohali, ending in an industry immersion project. The curriculum is organised as core AI, deploying AI and leading AI, and it reaches all the way to language models and agents.

What you learn

  • Data structures, Python with PyTorch and Hugging Face, and vector databases
  • Foundations of machine learning and neural networks
  • Language models, retrieval, tool use and agents
  • An industry immersion project

Pros

  • The most rigorous AI-specific programme in the Tricity
  • Fees, rounds and tuition waivers are all published

Watch out for

  • Full-time and the most expensive option here
  • The fee table is labelled 2026-27 for a July 2027 intake; “200+ students placed” is Plaksha’s own claim

Format: full-time on the Mohali campus, 12 months. Fee: ₹12,20,000 tuition; ₹14,24,000 with hostel; meals ₹96,000 optional; tuition waivers of 25-100% (no GST wording shown). Dates: programme starts July 2027; application rounds close 20 December 2026, 10 February, 6 April and 10 May 2027. Eligibility: four-year engineering degree, or a science or economics degree with maths, statistics and programming.

Hitesh Motwani: live AI training for Tricity teams

Best for: teams that need AI in their everyday work this quarter, not a diploma

This is training, not a course with a campus certificate, so it sits after the three institutional programmes. If you want a government certificate, an ISB credential or a master’s, choose from those. Live training is the better fit when a whole team needs to work differently. Each person brings a real task, such as a client proposal, a weekly MIS, a hospital or policy note, or a code review, and builds the AI workflow for it during the session. They use it the next morning, the time saved compounds across the team, and work moves faster.

The content adapts to the room: IT and product teams in Mohali on Claude Code and agents, government and public-sector teams on careful, documented use, healthcare and pharma teams on summaries and documentation, and leaders on where AI earns its keep.

Formats

Cost: quoted per engagement. Certificate: this is training, not an institute certificate. Disclosure: this guide is published on Hitesh Motwani’s own site.

5

  • LoRA fine-tuning, quantisation and evaluation

Pros

  • Very hands-on, project-led syllabus
  • The page says plainly that it cannot promise a job

Watch out for

  • The page gives three different durations and contradicts itself on whether coding is needed
  • No fee or batch date published

Format: classroom in Sector 34A or live online, 1.5 hours a day; duration shown as 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 1.5 months in different places. Fee: not shown; call for fees, instalments available. Certificate: Netmax certificate of completion.

AI classes in the Tricity: Sector 34A and Mohali

The region’s AI teaching splits neatly in two. Short, private courses cluster in Sector 34A, the long-standing coaching hub of Chandigarh. The deeper programmes are in Mohali: C-DAC in the industrial area, ISB in Knowledge City and Plaksha’s campus. Panchkula residents will find Sector 34A the shorter trip.

Fees and time

AI course fees in Chandigarh, and the hours involved

Adding 18% GST where a page says GST is extra (our arithmetic), the published fees fall into three bands. About ₹1.5 to ₹1.8 lakh: C-DAC’s PGCP-AI, roughly ₹1,50,450 online or ₹1,77,000 in person. About ₹12 to ₹14 lakh: ISB’s AMPBA at about ₹12,98,000 (admission and tuition together, before the refundable deposit), and Plaksha’s MS in AI at ₹12,20,000 in tuition before any waiver, or ₹14,24,000 with hostel (no GST wording shown). None of the five private Sector 34A or Mohali institutes publishes a fee, so ask each for a written quote and compare like with like.

Time: C-DAC and Plaksha are full-time; ISB needs 12-14 hours a week plus campus weeks; the private institutes run 1.5-hour daily classes or weekend batches. Before paying, check that a batch is confirmed, who will teach it, the refund terms and the certificate wording, and do not accept a “placement guarantee” without written conditions. If several colleagues need the same skills, ask HR about sponsorship or one in-house programme.

Syllabus

What a Chandigarh AI course should include in 2026

Several Tricity syllabi still stop at classic machine learning and deep learning. That is useful for a data career, but if you want AI to help in your current job, look for these three blocks as well.

Assistants at work

  • Prompts built on context, an example and a clear format
  • Knowing when ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or Gemini fits the job
  • Handling long files, sheets and email threads

Building agents

  • Agents that use tools and follow a plan
  • Retrieval over your own documents
  • Testing results before anyone depends on them

Safe use

  • Keeping confidential and citizen data out of public tools
  • India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and your own policy
  • Human review of anything that leaves the office
Choosing

How to choose an AI course in Chandigarh or Mohali

Four honest answers narrow the list fast: can you stop working for six to twelve months, will you write code, does a C-DAC, ISB or university name matter to your employer, and is the training for you or for a team?

For yourself

  • Graduate who can study full-time: C-DAC’s PGCP-AI (sit C-CAT in January) or Plaksha’s MS
  • Professional who must keep working: ISB’s AMPBA
  • Developer short on time: Netmax’s generative or agentic course after a demo class
  • Beginner: CBitss or Excellence Technology, then a GenAI course

For a team

  • Long programmes suit a few future specialists, not a whole department
  • Insist on practice with your own files and tools
  • Settle rules for confidential data first
  • Judge success by work done faster, not by attendance

Why live training suits teams: most of AI’s value at work comes from small, frequent tasks such as the weekly report, the client email and the meeting note. A trainer who works on those exact tasks with your staff gets results faster than any general syllabus, and no certificate, however respected, guarantees a job or a raise. If you would rather hire a trainer than take a course, see our list of generative AI trainers in Chandigarh, or ask about a session for your team.

Learning path

Two months, free, before you choose a paid course

About three hours a week beside your job. It costs nothing and makes the right paid option, if any, obvious.

1

Weeks 1-2: Put AI to work on your own tasks

Pick three things you do weekly, for instance a report, a long email chain and a data sheet. Try each with an approved assistant and note every correction you made.

2

Weeks 3-4: Prompt with structure

Complete a free prompting course and redo the tasks with a role, context, one example and a fixed format. Keep a file of prompts that worked.

3

Weeks 5-6: Automate one routine

Connect two steps with a no-code tool, or, if you code, give an agent one tool and a narrow job. Record where it breaks.

4

Weeks 7-8: Commit to a next step

Register for C-CAT before 29 December, apply to ISB or Plaksha, book a Sector 34A demo class, or bring live training to your team.

FAQ

AI courses in Chandigarh: frequently asked questions

For graduates who can study full-time, C-DAC Mohali’s PG Certificate Programme in AI is the deepest and has a fixed calendar (next batch 24 February 2027). For working professionals, ISB’s AMPBA mixes online teaching with residencies that include the Mohali campus. For a short classroom course, Netmax in Sector 34A teaches generative and agentic AI.

C-DAC’s PGCP-AI costs ₹1,50,000 plus GST in person or ₹1,27,500 plus GST online. ISB’s AMPBA is about ₹11 lakh plus GST, and Plaksha’s MS in AI is ₹12,20,000 in tuition before waivers. The private institutes in Sector 34A and Mohali do not publish fees.

Three institutes there have AI course pages: Netmax (generative AI and agentic AI), Excellence Technology (a broad AI course) and CBitss (AI Genesis PRO, monthly starts). Netmax’s syllabi are the most current, with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI and n8n. Sit in on a demo class before paying.

Yes. C-DAC, a government scientific society, runs its PG Certificate Programme in AI at its Mohali training school, with entry through C-CAT. NIELIT Chandigarh also offers courses, but its website did not show course details to us in October 2026, so contact it directly.

Apply for C-CAT between 25 November and 29 December 2026, sit the test on 9 or 10 January 2027, and choose PGCP-AI at Mohali in the counselling rounds. You need an engineering degree, MCA, or a relevant MSc or PG degree with 60%. The batch begins on 24 February 2027.

ISB’s AMPBA is a blended analytics programme with modules on MLOps and agentic AI, and its residencies are held across the Hyderabad and Mohali campuses. Applications close on 13 December 2026. ISB also lists shorter AI leadership programmes, but check which campus and dates apply.

Yes, for everyday use. Netmax’s prompt engineering course is aimed at non-coders, and using ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or Gemini at work needs no programming. The C-DAC, ISB and Plaksha programmes, and most Sector 34A AI courses, do involve code.

Yes. Excellence Technology and CBitss accept learners from Class 12 upward, and ThinkNEXT says it takes students after 12th. C-DAC, ISB and Plaksha need a degree. Free online courses are another good first step; see our list of free AI courses with a certificate.

Be careful. Some pages promise placement help or even a guarantee, while others state that a job is not guaranteed. No course can promise a job, so treat these as the providers’ own claims, read the conditions in writing and choose on syllabus and projects.

Most offer both. C-DAC runs PGCP-AI fully online or fully in person, Netmax and ThinkNEXT run classroom and live online batches, and CBitss offers offline, online or hybrid. Plaksha’s master’s is on campus, and ISB is blended.

From four to six weeks (Netmax’s generative AI course) and 45 days (its agentic AI course) to 24 weeks full-time at C-DAC, 12 months at Plaksha and 15 months for ISB’s AMPBA. Private institutes’ foundation courses run about three to six months.

For teams, short live sessions on their own work usually beat sending people on long courses. Look for practice on your own documents and tools, a leaders’ session and clear data rules. Hitesh Motwani runs this kind of training at your office by arrangement or online; see Claude Cowork training in Chandigarh for one format.

Next step

Courses teach the tools. Your own work is where they pay.

Choose C-DAC, ISB or Plaksha for your career, a Sector 34A classroom for a fast start, or talk to Hitesh about hands-on AI training for your team in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula, built on the work it already does.
